Overview
The Fokker 100 was a stretched, modernised development of the Fokker F28 Fellowship, with Rolls-Royce Tay engines, a new wing and a glass cockpit. It entered service with Swissair in 1988 and was popular with airlines in Europe, the Americas and Australia.
Fokker went bankrupt in 1996, ending production after 283 aircraft. Many still fly, especially in Australia, where they serve mining towns and regional routes.
