Overview
The S-92 is a large twin-engine helicopter that carries up to 19 passengers. Its biggest civil job is flying workers to offshore oil and gas platforms, and it is also a major search-and-rescue helicopter, for example with the UK coastguard service.
A military version, the VH-92A Patriot, flown by the US Marine Corps, is replacing older helicopters in the "Marine One" presidential fleet, while Canada flies the related CH-148 Cyclone from its warships.
