Overview
The Ka-52 is a two-seat development of the single-seat Ka-50 "Black Shark". Like most Kamov designs it has two rotors stacked on one mast spinning in opposite directions, so it needs no tail rotor and can turn sharply.
The pilots sit side by side and can eject: explosive bolts first throw off the rotor blades, then the seats are fired upwards. It is Russia's main attack helicopter alongside the Mi-28.
