Overview
The T-50 Golden Eagle is a supersonic advanced jet trainer developed by Korea Aerospace Industries with help from Lockheed Martin, which is why it looks a little like a smaller F-16. It prepares pilots for modern fighters such as the F-35.
Its armed light-fighter version, the FA-50, has become an export success, chosen by countries including the Philippines, Indonesia, Iraq, Poland and Malaysia. South Korea's Black Eagles aerobatic team flies the T-50B.
