Overview
The DA42 Twin Star is a four-seat, twin-engine light aircraft made of composite materials by Diamond in Austria. Its diesel engines burn Jet A-1 kerosene, which is cheaper and easier to find than aviation petrol in many countries.
It is widely used by airline academies to train pilots on multi-engine flying, and surveillance versions carry cameras for police and border patrol. Figures are for the DA42-VI.
